Health and Safety - An Asset in Turbulent Times

The COVID-19 pandemic has proved how valuable health safety practitioners are…
The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized how important an asset your health and safety practitioners are. If organizations, didn’t already know this, perhaps they do now. Health and safety practitioners are completing the risk assessments and advising on making the workplace safe for employees and others to return to and work in.
I hope that this will provide a greater appreciation of the function. For if people see the work that’s been done to protect them, their colleagues and their families from COVID-19, perhaps they will understand the relationship between hazards and controls a little better. This in turn may increase co-operation and compliance. Organizations can seize this opportunity to improve their health and safety culture and turn a rather unpleasant few months into a positive.
